The state government’s “Government for the People, at the People’s Doorstep” initiative, under which public grievance redressal camps are being organized across the state, is proving highly effective for the common people. Through this campaign, the government is reaching out directly to the public and ensuring the swift resolution of their problems.
As of January 13, 2026, a total of 326 camps have been organized in 13 districts of the state, with 251,407 citizens participating. 26,722 complaints have been received in these camps so far, of which 18,123 have been successfully resolved. This is a direct testament to the state government’s sensitive and accountable approach.
Officials reported that 36,682 applications related to various departments have been received through these camps, and action is being taken on them within the stipulated timeframe. In addition, 137,641 individuals have directly benefited from various public welfare schemes.
The large number of citizens participating in districts like Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Tehri Garhwal, Almora, and Dehradun demonstrates that this campaign is addressing the genuine needs of the people. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed officials to prioritize and quickly resolve the remaining pending complaints and applications.
The Chief Minister clarified that the state government’s intention is not merely to listen to problems, but to provide solutions, ensure transparency, and strengthen public trust. The “Government for the People, at the People’s Doorstep” initiative has established direct communication between the government and the people, which is a significant step towards a developed Uttarakhand.
