Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat participated in the ‘Flag Salutation Ceremony’ program organized by Dev Sanskriti University in Haridwar. This event was held as part of the centenary celebrations of Vandaniya Mata Bhagwati Devi Sharma, the founder of the Gayatri Parivar.

On this occasion, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this centenary celebration is a symbol of the nation’s heartfelt gratitude towards Mata Bhagwati Devi Sharma’s ascetic life, selfless service, and unwavering devotion. He said that Mataji’s entire life has been an inspiring beacon of renunciation, sacrifice, and spiritual practice, which has guided countless people in the right direction. The Chief Minister said that the Gayatri Parivar is not limited to a single organization, but is a flow of the consciousness of the age for the upliftment of individuals, society, and the nation.

Highlighting the spiritual identity of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Dhami said that pilgrimage sites like Gangotri, Yamunotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath, and Adi Kailash are the heartbeat of India’s soul. He said that the state government is continuously working to preserve the original form of Devbhoomi. He also mentioned the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, bringing in strict anti-riot and anti-conversion laws, and removing illegal encroachments from more than 10,000 acres of land.
