Uttarakhand: Doon Medical College ragging case: Two senior students expelled

A case of ragging has come to light from Doon Medical College in the capital city of Dehradun. The college management has expelled two senior students.
Ragging Incident at Doon Medical College
The incident occurred on January 13th. Two senior students attacked a junior student, Abuzar, with belts and shoes in the Doon Medical College hostel premises. The following day, January 14th, the victim filed a complaint with the Chief Warden and the college management. Following this, the college administration took action.
Two Students Expelled
Considering the seriousness of the matter, the Anti-Ragging Committee launched an investigation. College Principal Geeta Jain informed that all the students are residents of Roorkee, and two of the students are also related. Currently, both students have been expelled from the college pending the completion of the investigation. The college administration stated that a final decision on further action will be taken only after the investigation committee’s report is received.
