The concluding session of the Shodasha Samskara training workshop and lecture series, organized by the Uttarakhand Sanskrit Academy, Haridwar, under the Uttarakhand government, concluded in a dignified atmosphere. The chief guest at the concluding session was Deepak Kumar Gairola, Secretary of the Sanskrit Education Department, Government of Uttarakhand.

The program was attended by former Vice-Chancellor of Uttarakhand Sanskrit University, Prof. Dinesh Chandra Shastri, Secretary of the Uttarakhand Sanskrit Academy, Prof. Manoj Kishore Pant, and former Principal of Shivnath Sanskrit College, Dr. Surya Mohan Bhatt, as the main speaker. The program was presided over by Ms. Ramendri Mandrawal.
Objective: To take Indian knowledge tradition to every section of society
At the beginning of the program, the Academy’s Secretary, Prof. Manoj Kishore Pant, welcomed all the guests and, in his introductory address, elaborated on the Academy’s future plans. He said that the Academy’s objective is to take the Indian knowledge tradition, especially Sanskrit and its associated rituals, to every section of society.
Chief Guest Deepak Kumar Gairola, in his address, said that the Shodasha Samskaras are the scientific and spiritual heritage of the Indian way of life. The government intends to convey the importance of these rituals, as described in Sanatana Dharma, to the common people, especially the youth, so that they can connect with their cultural roots. On this occasion, the scholars present shared their views on various aspects of the Shodasha Samskaras and emphasized the need to incorporate them into daily life.
