Union Home Minister Amit Shah performed Ganga Puja in Rishikesh and offered prayers at the Lakshmi Narayan Temple

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is on a two-day visit to Uttarakhand. On the first day of his visit, Amit Shah arrived in Rishikesh. There, he first participated in the centenary celebrations of ‘Kalyan’ magazine. Following this, the Union Home Minister offered prayers and paid his respects to the holy Mother Ganga in Rishikesh.
During this time, Union Home Minister Amit Shah wrote, “The eternal, timeless, and ever-flowing Mother Ganga is the fundamental basis of our culture, civilization, and life. I pray to Mother Ganga for the well-being of all.”
He also offered prayers at the Lakshmi Narayan Temple in Geeta Bhavan, Rishikesh, and prayed to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi for the happiness and prosperity of all.
Swargashram area transformed into a police cantonment: The monthly magazine ‘Kalyan’, published by Geeta Press, is completing 100 years in January. A centenary celebration is being held at Geeta Bhavan, Swarg Ashram, from January 20th to 22nd. Home Minister Amit Shah is attending the program as the chief guest on the first day. Therefore, the Muniki Reti and Lakshman Jhula areas are under high police alert. There is also increased police activity near the Dehradun Barrage bridge.

Besides the Gurukul Kangri helipad, heavy vehicles will be completely prohibited in Haridwar city from 6 AM to 11 PM on January 22nd. Additionally, heavy vehicles coming from other states will be stopped at the Haridwar border.
