CM Dhami attacks Rahul Gandhi; terms remarks about PM Modi’s mother and Ajit Doval as condemnable

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has targeted Congress leader and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of making allegedly objectionable remarks regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s late mother and National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. The Chief Minister stated that one should hold respect and reverence for the Prime Minister’s mother. He alleged that the Prime Minister’s mother was mocked on the stage where Rahul Gandhi was present, an act that falls short of political decorum.
The Chief Minister noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is senior to Rahul Gandhi in terms of age and experience and has accomplished significant work for the nation. Dhami remarked that the alleged comments and the subsequent mockery regarding the Prime Minister’s mother raise questions about Rahul Gandhi’s mindset and political dignity.
Remarks on Ajit Doval Termed Condemnable
The Chief Minister also responded to Rahul Gandhi’s comments regarding Ajit Doval. Dhami stated that Doval has played a pivotal role in strengthening the country’s security and is a son of Uttarakhand. He described Rahul Gandhi’s statement as condemnable.
The Chief Minister alleged that Rahul Gandhi consistently insults the armed forces and those associated with them. He also questioned the Congress leader’s stance regarding the surgical strikes, air strikes, and ‘Operation Sindoor’.
Dhami Attends Satpal Maharaj’s Birthday Celebration
On Monday, the Chief Minister attended the 75th birthday celebration of Cabinet Minister and spiritual guru Satpal Maharaj, held at the Rishikul Ground in Haridwar. A large number of devotees from across the country and abroad arrived for the two-day event.
Extending birthday wishes to Satpal Maharaj, the Chief Minister said that he has lived a life defined by simplicity, humility, and discipline, and continues to serve Uttarakhand with that same spirit.
Governor Gurmeet Singh also extended his best wishes to Satpal Maharaj, stating that he felt a sense of joy while attending the celebration. Those present at the event also took a pledge to achieve the goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) by 2047.
