Rakhi Sawant arrested by Mumbai Police, big blow after Sherlyn Chopra’s complaint
Rakhi Sawant has been arrested by the Amboli police on 19 January. Rakhi was to launch her dance academy today at 3 pm, where she partnered with her husband Adil Khan Durrani. Rakhi Sawant was arrested on Thursday (January 19) in connection with an FIR filed against her by Sherlyn Chopra last year. Actress Sherlyn Chopra confirmed the news and tweeted, ‘Amboli Police has arrested Rakhi Sawant in connection with FIR 883/2022. Rakhi Sawant’s ABA 1870/2022 was dismissed by the Mumbai sessions court yesterday.
Police on Rakhi’s arrest
Mumbai Police has said that on the complaint of Sherlyn Chopra, an FIR has been registered against Rakhi Sawant under various sections of IPC and IT Act. The complainant alleges that he showed an objectionable video of Chopra during a press conference and used objectionable language. Last year, Rakhi told the police that Sherlyn Chopra uploaded a video on YouTube and Instagram on 6 November 2022, in which she made objectionable remarks against him and used indecent language.

Rakhi later told the media, ‘I am very sorry to say that my life has been thrown into turmoil because of his comments about me. Because of that, my recent boyfriend has asked me if there is any truth in what Sherlyn is saying. Do I really have 10 boyfriends? She just came and said whatever she wanted to say in the media and now I have to pay for it.

Rakhi Sawant has been in the headlines ever since the news of her secret wedding with Adil Khan surfaced recently. Rakhi later reveals that she married Adil last year. He also shared pictures of their marriage certificate on his Instagram which shows that the marriage took place on May 29, 2022.
Denied the news of pregnancy
Rakhi told ANI, ‘Finally, I am very excited and I have got married, my love for you is 4 ever unconditional love Adil.’ When news agency ANI asked her about her pregnancy rumours, she refused to comment and said no comment.
