The Chief Minister said that it is also the moral responsibility of all of us to make Devbhoomi Uttarakhand corruption and crime free. He said that we have to imbibe the basic mantra of simplification, solution, solution and satisfaction in quick solution to the problems of the general public and effective implementation of the schemes. If this becomes a part of our work practice, then the way to control corruption will also be paved.
The Chief Minister said that toll free number 1064 should be made more useful in the interest of the general public to effectively control corruption. He has emphasized on making people’s representatives, intellectuals and common citizens allies in rooting out corruption. Not only this, while appreciating the efforts being made by the State Vigilance Units in preventing corruption and acts like bribery, the Chief Minister said that effective efforts have been made by the Vigilance Unit in investigating the complaints of cheating in various competitive examinations etc.
He said that 55 people have been sent to jail after a quick investigation into the complaints of cheating in the examinations of the Subordinate Selection Service Commission and Public Service Commission. Apart from this, last year 14 personnel were caught red-handed by the Vigilance Unit Dehradun and Haldwani in cases of malpractices, while the work of punishing the culprits has been done by promptly investigating the cases of excess income and irregularities in construction works. .
The Chief Minister said that by following the policy of zero tolerance on corruption, we have decided to take strict action against the copycat mafias. The state cabinet has decided to enact a strict anti-copying law to prevent corruption in recruitment in the state. This law will be made so strict that no one will even think about it in future. In the strict anti-copying law, there will be a provision of life imprisonment for the guilty, and there will also be a provision for confiscation of the property acquired by him.
At the same time, the Chief Minister said that no culprit who kills the rights of the youth of Uttarakhand will be spared. The government is ensuring that all future recruitment examinations are transparent. Now in future no one should dare to make mistakes in these examinations. This arrangement will be made with the provisions of the anti-copying law.
He said that due to continuous active deployment of copying mafias and leaking out of exam paper, the future of other candidates who take the exam, who work hard day and night, is being played with. Keeping these facts in mind, it has now been decided that the notification unit should be actively deployed before the future examinations to be conducted by Uttarakhand Public Service Commission, Haridwar and Uttarakhand Subordinate Services Selection Commission, Dehradun, so that such repetition does not happen.
