Uttarakhand: CM Dhami reviewed the organization of G-20 meeting

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, while reviewing the arrangements for the G-20 Summit to be held in Ramnagar on Friday, directed the officials to complete all necessary arrangements on time. In this meeting held today, Commissioner Kumaon and District Officers Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital were also associated with the meeting through video conferencing with Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu and high officials of the government.

‘It is a good opportunity to make Uttarakhand’s identity at the world level’

Dhami said in the meeting that there is a good opportunity for Uttarakhand to be recognized at the world level by the G-20 meetings being held in the state. He instructed the concerned officers to ensure timely arrangements for the arrangements for this event. The Chief Minister said that this is also an opportunity to introduce the whole world to the state’s rich cultural heritage, tourism and biodiversity. For this, better arrangements should be made at all levels. He directed the District Magistrate Udham Singh Nagar and Nainital District Magistrate to streamline the road from Pantnagar to Ramnagar.

The Chief Minister said that apart from repairing the roads, special attention should be paid to the cleanliness, security and beautification of the areas around the road. He said that this is also a good opportunity to give recognition to the local products of the state at the national and international level. It should be ensured that the features of the products which we can get global recognition on a large scale are identified. He said that stalls based on local products of Uttarakhand should be set up at the venue of the G-20 meetings. Cultural programs should be organized to promote the rich cultural heritage of Uttarakhand. Arrangements for Yoga and Panchakarma should be made at the venue.

CM Dhami further said that suggestions of political and social organizations should also be taken for better organization of G-20 meeting to be held in the state. He also emphasized on mass awareness in this regard. In the meeting, Chief Secretary Dr. SS Sandhu, Secretary Shailesh Bagoli, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, Dipendra Kumar Chaudhary, Vinod Kumar Suman, Dr. Iqbal Ahmed, Director General of Information Mr. Banshidhar Tiwari, besides Commissioner Kumaon Deepak Rawat, District Magistrate Udham Singh City Couple Kishore Pant, District Magistrate Nainital Dhiraj Singh Garbyal were present.
