Health Department Uttarakhand received ‘JRD Tata Memorial Award’, Health Minister Dr. Rawat said – morale of departmental personnel will increase, new energy will be infused

Health Department Uttarakhand was awarded the prestigious ‘JRD Tata Memorial Award’ in a program organized at India Habitat Center in New Delhi on Monday. This award was given to Uttarakhand for its better performance across the country in 42 different health indices, which was received by Medical Health and Medical Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat himself. He said that receiving the award will not only boost the morale of the health department personnel but will also infuse new energy into them, due to which better work can be done in the health sector in the state in the future.

On the occasion of JRD Tata Memorial Award ceremony organized in New Delhi, State Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that under the guidance of Honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the state government is providing health benefits to the general public through various schemes, as a result of which high focus has been achieved. In the category of states, Uttarakhand was selected for first place at the national level for better performance of health services and was given the JRD Tata Memorial Award. He said that receiving the award will boost the morale of the officers and employees of the health department, which will also motivate them to further improve the health services in the state. He said that the state government is committed to strengthening and expanding health services, for this, health thinking camps are being organized by the government from time to time in which the reactions, suggestions and complaints of the common people are collected and effective steps are taken on them. Are going. In this felicitation ceremony organized by Population Foundation of India, Tata Sons Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran handed over a memento and a check of Rs 5 lakh to Dr Rawat.

Population Foundation of India, established in 1970 by JRD Tata, has five decades of research experience in the fields of women’s sensitivity, population, health and development policies. This organization works under the guidance of an eminent Management Council and Advisory Committee consisting of experts from the government and private sector. After the death of JRD Tata, this organization established the JRD Memorial Award at the national level, through which the highest performing states and districts are honored.

Tata Sons Chairman Natarajan Chandrasekaran, Population Foundation of India (PFI) Governing Body Chairperson Dr Srinath Reddy, Executive Director Population Foundation of India Poonam Muttreja and representatives of various states were present in the programme.
