Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya held a high level meeting, said – ‘Be cautious about Corona, no need to panic’

A high-level meeting of health ministers of all the states was held under the chairmanship of Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya in which the danger of infection with the new variant of Corona and the preparations to deal with it were discussed. Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya said in this meeting that we need to be alert, but there is no need to panic. He said that the Center and the state need to work together with a whole-of-government approach. Hospitals will have to conduct mock drills of preparedness and increase surveillance of Covid. Besides, effective communication will also have to be maintained with the people so that the infection can be controlled in time and the affected people can be provided proper treatment.
There is no laxity in preparations
Mansukh Mandaviya said that once every three months, all hospitals should conduct mock drill regarding Covid preparedness. I assure all the states of full assistance from the Centre. There should be no laxity in our preparations. Health issue is not an area of politics. The Union Health Ministry is available for every assistance.
288 new cases were reported on Tuesday
The Union Health Minister also urged the states to ensure that all kinds of preventive measures are adopted in view of the cold conditions during the winter season and the upcoming festival season. According to data released by the Union Health Ministry, 288 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in India on Tuesday. The number of active patients has increased to 1,970. On Tuesday, 115 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Kerala, due to which the total number of patients under treatment for Covid-19 in the state increased to 1,749.
