A heart-wrenching incident has come to light from a village in Jasdan tehsil of Rajkot. Where a 13 year old minor rape victim gave birth to a child. The doctor of the private clinic where the minor gave birth to the child saved the newborn. It is being told that the brother and uncle who were in a relationship with the girl had raped her.

As soon as information about the incident was received, the police became active and registered a case under various sections including POCSO, human trafficking. The police have arrested the accused uncle and the doctor, but the brother is absconding and the police is trying to catch him.

13 year old rape victim gives birth to a child

In her complaint, the victim’s mother told the police that about 9 months ago, her 13-year-old minor daughter was raped by her uncle and 20-year-old brother, who were in a relationship with her after seeing her alone. After which the pregnancy had stopped in her stomach. After the rape, the accused also threatened to kill her. Because of which he got scared and after 9 months his daughter’s child was born. They did not want a child, after which the doctor sold the child to a childless couple.

Doctor sold the child, police arrested him

On this matter, DYSP Kishore Singh Jhala said that a case has been registered against four accused under various sections including rape. Three have been arrested, one is absconding, he will also be arrested soon. After the incident, the victim and her family are in fear, they are also being counseled by the police.
