Bulldozer ran on BJP office in Bengal, action taken on the instructions of CM Mamata
On the instructions of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, as part of the action being taken by the administration against illegal construction, a bulldozer was also run on the BJP office located in Taratalla area of Kolkata. The police have also detained some local BJP leaders.
The police say that the said office has been constructed illegally, while the local BJP leaders allege that their office is years old. The police have demolished it with wrong intentions.
The CM had reprimanded the minister and administrative officials
It is known that the Chief Minister had held a meeting in the state secretariat last Monday and reprimanded the ministers, councilors, administrative and police officials, heads of municipal bodies and panchayats for their ‘inaction’ regarding occupation of government land, illegal construction, encroachment of footpaths, waterlogging, dirt, etc. and had given many instructions.
Government land is not anyone’s personal property – CM Mamata
CM Mamata had said in strong words that government land is not anyone’s personal property, which is being occupied. On the other hand, the police is reviewing the cases of encroachment on government land in various areas of Kolkata including Hathibagan, Maniktala, Gariahat, New Market. The entire process is being videographed.
