Want to visit Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand? Know this new guideline
The tourism sector has been the most affected due to the second wave of Corona. In view of the increasing cases of corona, Himachal and Uttarakhand closed their borders for tourists in April. Strict lockdown was imposed in both the states. But now the process of unlocking the states has started amidst the decreasing cases of corona and the rapid vaccination campaign going on across the country. In such a situation, once again Himachal and Uttarakhand have opened their arms for tourists to celebrate the summer vacation. A new guideline has been issued for tourists, which is mandatory to follow.
Himachal Pradesh’s new guideline
⏺️Tourists coming to Himachal will no longer be required to bring RT-PCR COVID-19 negative report.
⏺️Section-144 has been removed in the state.
⏺️All shops in Himachal will remain closed on Saturday and Sunday, permission has been given to open from 9 am to 5 pm on the rest of the day.
⏺️There will be a curfew from 5 pm to 5 am.
⏺️According to the circular issued by the Department of Tourism and Civil Aviation of Himachal Pradesh, swimming pools, auditoriums and assembly halls of hotels will remain closed.
⏺️The safety and hygiene guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Tourism Department will have to be strictly followed.
Uttarakhand’s new guideline
⏺️There will be a lockdown here till June 15. After this, only a few small shops and markets will be able to open from 10 am to 5 pm.
⏺️The state government has not yet given permission to open hotels, restaurants and resorts.
⏺️It will be mandatory for tourists coming from other states to bring RT-PCR COVID-19 negative report. However, people coming from Garhwal to Kumaon and Kumaon to Garhwal can come and go without a COVID-19 negative report.
⏺️It will be mandatory for people coming from outside the state to register on the web portal of the smart city.
