Chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav, who took two top-order wickets in the first ODI against Sri Lanka, has said that life in a bio-bubble without playing opportunities is tough and creates doubts about himself. 26-year-old Kuldeep has played very little cricket in the last 16 months. In the last 16 months, Kuldeep has played only one Test, three ODIs while he has not played a single T20 match.
Yadav said during the virtual media interaction after the first ODI against Sri Lanka, Bio-Bubble’s life is difficult. Especially if you’re not playing. After this, doubts start to arise in your mind.
Kuldeep further said, there are many people who want to talk to you and help you, but if you talk to too many people, you create doubts within yourself. This is a team sport. Some people get opportunities, some don’t. We must wait for our chance.
Both Yadav and leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal were playing together after a long time. He took two wickets each on the pitch which helped the spinners a bit.
The Uttar Pradesh bowler, who also plays for Kolkata Knight Riders, said that he is happy to play Yuzvendra Chahal again. Both have helped India win several series, including winning the ODI series for the first time in South Africa in 2018.
Kuldeep said, I was very happy that we are playing together after a long time. We support each other. Whenever we need each other on the field, I guide him and he guides me. We have good bonding. Whenever we bowl, we are comfortable with each other. It is visible on the ground. The way we performed. It was great for the team.
