Army attacked in Manipur, 5 soldiers martyred; Colonel’s wife and son also died
In Manipur’s Singnat area, terrorists ambushed an army troop. In this attack, five soldiers including Colonel Viplav Tripathi of 46 Assam Rifles have been martyred. Colonel’s wife and minor son have also died in this nefarious attack carried out by terrorists. It is reported that this incident took place at 10.30 am on Saturday morning in Sehken village of Singangat in Churachandpur district.
Condemning the incident, Manipur Chief Minister N. Biren Singh tweeted, ‘Strongly condemn the cowardly attack on the convoy of 46 Assam Rifles, in which some including the CO and his family in Sisipur today. The personnel have died. State forces and paramilitary forces are already working to nab the militants. The guilty will be brought to justice.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has also tweeted about this accident, he has written that the cowardly attack on the convoy of Assam Rifles in Churachandpur, Manipur is very painful and condemnable. The country has lost 5 brave soldiers including CO 46 AR. My condolences to the families, soon the guilty will be brought to justice.
