WHO Chief told- How will the end of the epidemic

Cases of infection are increasing worldwide since the new variant of the corona virus, Omicron, appeared. In the country too, in the last 24 hours, 1,94,720 lakh new cases of Kovid have been reported and the rate of infection has gone up to 11.05 percent. At the same time, if we talk about Omicron, then 4868 cases have been reported in the country. In the midst of a new wave of corona epidemic, the World Health Organization has once again emphasized on reaching the vaccine to all the countries of the world.

The head of the World Health Organization (WHO) said on Monday that it is possible to end this epidemic, but for this some tough steps will have to be taken. WHO Chief Tedros Adhanom said, “Of course, COVID can be defeated, but all governments and vaccine producers around the world have to assure 2 things. First, countries where the vaccine is not reaching but the corona There is a risk of increasing the supply of vaccines in those countries, and second that the resources needed to deliver the vaccine to people will be adequately supplied. We are nowhere safe unless everyone is safe.

The WHO chief also said in his final address for 2021, “No country is spared from this pandemic. We have many new tools to prevent and treat COVID-19. Vaccine inequality (many small or poor countries) The longer the vaccine continues, the greater the risk of developing this virus, which we cannot prevent. If we end vaccine inequality, we will end the pandemic as well.”

In some small and poor countries, vaccination is not being done as well as vaccination is being done in rich countries.

The WHO Chief further said that “COVID-19 has entered the third year of the pandemic, if we all fight together then I believe that this will be the year when we all end this epidemic.” It further added that “all countries need to work together to reach the global goal of immunizing 70% of people in all countries by mid-2222.”
