Amit Shah said – good days have come, now more good days will come
Union Home Minister Amit Shah was on a visit to Gujarat on Saturday during which he laid the foundation stone of Khukri Museum and development projects worth Rs 80 crore. He was accompanied by State Home Minister Harsh Sanghvi, Daman and Diu Administrator Praful Patel, Revenue Minister in Gujarat Government Rajendra Trivedi were also present. Home Minister Amit Shah also addressed a public meeting during this period.
Addressing the public meeting, Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that ‘achche din’ have come but now ‘achche din’ are going to be even better. He said, “I have come to Diu for the first time after becoming the Home Minister. Today, for the first time, the meeting of the Chief Ministers of Western states was held in Diu. All went back happy with the arrangements made by Chief Minister Praful Patel. Earlier when development projects were disbursed, only a small amount would reach Diu and other union territories from Delhi. Now Praful Patel has given impetus to development here.”
Union Home Minister Amit further said, “The world celebrates Ocean Day on June 8 to raise awareness about marine life, clean up islands and eliminate single-use plastics. It was discussed all over the world. We have already done this in Diu, which is the only region that runs entirely on solar power.”
Amit Shah also targeted Congress and Rahul Gandhi in the public meeting. Amit Shah said that Congress has worked to eradicate the poor while Narendra Modi has worked in eradicating poverty. Hitting out at Rahul Gandhi, Amit Shah said, “Rahul Baba used to criticize PM Narendra Modi. That’s why I want to ask him that you have ruled the country for 60 years. Why didn’t you remember electricity, grain or home? Congress has worked for eradicating the poor in the name of eradicating poverty and Narendra Modi has worked for eradicating poverty.”
