Constable Sundar Singh, posted in the City Patrol Unit (CPU) at the busy Cheema intersection of the city, was on traffic duty.
An e-rickshaw passed through Cheema intersection at around 1.40 pm on Saturday afternoon. During this, due to the shock, her girl child of about one and a half year old fell on the road after falling from her lap. Constable Sunder Singh, ignoring the bus coming from the front, grabbed the girl at high speed and picked up the girl from the road and handed it over to her mother.
All these sentences took only a few seconds. SP Chandramohan said that Sepoy Sundar has done an excellent job. They will be rewarded by the department.
