Uttarakhand : Dak Kanwar demolished traffic plan, six kilometer long jam on Delhi-Dehradun highway
The plans of the traffic police were blown up in front of the crowd of postal and bike-borne kanwariyas. Traffic police officials were making big promises regarding the Kanwar Yatra, but after Saturday, even on Sunday, the policemen sweated in opening the six km jam on the highway. They could not open the jam even for hours.
On Saturday, where the Delhi-Doon highway was jammed for hours. On Sunday, there was heavy jam on the highway from Shankaracharya Chowk to Shantikunj. Kanwariyas started reaching inside the city as soon as there was a jam on the highway. After this, barricading at Rishikul, Kanwariyas were sent on Rishikul Highway, while it was being claimed that postal and bike riders would not come inside the city, but on Sunday, the traffic system in the city completely deteriorated.
