Uttar Pradesh: Lawyers attack police officer who appeared in Allahabad High Court, order to file case

The Allahabad High Court has directed the Director General to investigate and present the report and register a separate case in the incident of lawyers assaulting the police officers who appeared on the court. This order has been given by the division bench of Justice Sunit Kumar and Justice Syed Waiz Miyan while rejecting Kamla Singh’s petition.
The court had summoned the investigation officer on the demand of fair investigation in the case. By filing an affidavit, the government lawyer told that the investigation on the complaint of the petitioner has been given to the crime branch. A departmental inquiry has been set up against the police. On this, the court fixed the date of January 30 and directed to complete the fair and pressure-free investigation at the earliest and sought a progress report. After this, the petitioner advocate provoked the bar.
There was a huge crowd of lawyers inside and outside the court. Outside, the lawyers were raising slogans to attack the police officer. Whispering in the court was also interfering with the proceedings. The lady police escorted by the police officers were escorted out of the Judge’s Gate safely by the Judge’s lift.
The court was told that the lawyers attacked the police. The court said, the attackers would be identified only through the investigation, on which the report was sought after investigation. But the petition was dismissed as meaningless. Said, the court will not do monitoring. You can approach the Magistrate for relief.
