Uttarakhand / Dehradun : The Uttarakhand government today declared Dehradun’s Doon School a restricted zone after 13 cases of Covid-19 were reported from there
“Entry and exit to and from the school has been restricted, essential goods will be supplied here. Testings will be done here. 4 more areas, besides Doon School, have also been declared as restricted zones,” said Dehradun DM Ashish Srivastav.
Eight students and five teachers tested positive for Covid-19 at Doon school on Wednesday.
District Magistrate Ashish Shrivastava had earlier said that the Doon School cases are being monitored constantly. He further said that frequent testing is being done and those who tested positive have been quarantined at the school.
The official further added that the district authorities are in constant touch with Doon School over the coronavirus cases.
Shrivastava also said that the Doon School administration are conducting regular RT-PCR tests of its students, teachers and administrative staff who are residing at the school premises.
