Many countries of the world are working on the Corona Vaccine Passport. Meanwhile, many countries have announced policies for travelers receiving the vaccine. At the same time, some countries are going to announce new rules soon. In such a situation, if you have installed indigenous Corona Vaccine (Covaxin) made in India, then this news is for you only. In fact, according to media reports, this vaccine is not included in the Emergency Use Listing (EUL) of the World Health Organization (WHO), so people traveling to this vaccine may be prohibited from traveling abroad.
‘WHO rules come in the way’
According to the report of the Times of India, many countries are allowing only those vaccines that have been approved by the government regulators or they are included in the list of WHO travelers. Currently, the list includes Covishield, Moderna, Pfizer, AstraZeneca 2, AstraZeneca, Jensen (Janssen Vaccine) and Sinopharm Vaccine from the Serum Institute of India (SII).
The WHO has not yet included covaxin in the EUL. According to the recent guidelines of the global organization, Bharat Biotech has submitted expression of interest, but it still needs more information in this subject. According to media reports, an important meeting of the WHO is proposed in the last week of May or in June. After this, the company will have to file a dossier. However, there has been no response from India Biotech on this subject.
