Security forces got big success in Handwara, Hizbul’s top commander Mehrajuddin killed in encounter
Srinagar : Top Hizbul Mujahideen commander Mehrajuddin Halwai alias Ubaid was killed in an encounter by security forces in Handwara of Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir today. Inspector General of Police, Kashmir Zone, Vijay Kumar has described the killing of Mehrajuddin Halwai alias Ubaid as a big success for the security forces.
A joint team of Army’s 32 RR and CRPF’s 92 Bn is carrying out joint operations in the area. On the basis of intelligence inputs, the security forces got information about the hiding of terrorists in the area, after which a joint team of security forces started a search operation in the area.
The security forces have retaliated strongly to the firing by the terrorists hiding in the area. During this encounter, the security forces have also got a big success. According to IGP Kashmir, Mehrajuddin Halwai alias Ubaid, one of the oldest and top commanders of Hizbul Mujahideen, has been killed in this encounter. He has been involved in many terrorist incidents, this is a big success.
