India will get single dose vaccine by next month

India can get Sputnik Light, the Russian vaccine being prepared in the country against the corona virus by September. It is being told that this single-dose vaccine will initially be available in limited numbers and will cost Rs 750. The company has also applied for its emergency use. So far imported Sputnik V is being used in India.
According to the report, Panacea has submitted the dossier for approval of emergency use. Sputnik Light has been developed by Russia’s Gamlaya Institute with support from RDIF. In July, Panacea Biotech announced a license to manufacture the Sputnik V vaccine.
On May 6, Russia approved the vaccine against the coronavirus, Sputnik Lite, saying it could speed up the process of achieving collective immunity. Russia began human trials of Sputnik Light in January and studies are still ongoing. Sputnik Lite is the fourth domestically developed COVID vaccine in Russia to be approved in the country.
At the same time, the effective capacity of Sputnik-V against the corona virus is more than 90 percent. India approved it for emergency use on 12 April as the first foreign vaccine. Dr Reddy’s Laboratory had tied up with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) for the Sputnik-V vaccine.
Recently, Russia had informed about the effect of its Sputnik V Corona vaccine. Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko had said that the Sputnik V corona vaccine is 83 percent effective against delta variants. It is effective against all new strains of coronavirus.
