The campaign against IS is not over : Blinken
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has assured Iraqi President Barham Salih that the campaign against the Islamic State (IS) terrorist group is not over, but is entering a new phase.
State Department spokesman Ned Price said in a discussion with Saleh that the US remains committed to a stable Iraq and is focusing on Iraq’s efforts to hold a fair election on October 10, State Department spokesman Ned Price said in a statement released on Saturday.
Currently, 25,000 US troops in Iraq are helping local Iraqi forces in combating IS terrorist groups.
