For the demands of promotion, equal work, equal pay, regularization of contract workers, etc., the employees of the Energy Corporation staged a protest outside the main gate of the power house. He threatened to stop the work if the pending demands were not acted upon soon. On Monday, under the banner of Uttarakhand Vidyut Adhikari Karmachari Samyukta Sangharsh Samiti, the electricity workers gathered at the power house in Shail Vihar. They sat on a dharna outside the main gate of the power house. During the protest, the agitating workers said that ignoring the demands would cost the government heavily. Alleged that the government is working to suppress the movement of workers with a repressive policy. Not one to be scared of laws like Esma. The agitation in support of the demands will continue. YS Bhandari, District General Secretary of the Samyukta Sangharsh Samiti called upon the workers to unite and fight for their rights. He said that the solution to the problems has been getting assurance for a long time, but till now not a single demand has been fulfilled. This time will not come under the false assurances of the government. Will fight till the decisive point. Will not take a step back. The agitating workers have given an ultimatum of three days to the government to act on the demands. SDO Arvind Negi, SS Rawat, Ankush Bhatt, Sanjay Kumar, Deepak Dhyani, Nitesh Negi, Tajwar Singh Negi, Amit Sharma, Sudesh Sharma, Surendra Kumar, Vidyut Prabha etc. were present in the protest demonstration.
