7,181 new COVID cases were reported in the Philippines, death toll exceeds 40 thousand
The Philippines’ Department of Health (DOH) has reported 7,181 new COVID-19 infections, bringing the number of confirmed cases in the country to 2,690,455 so far. DOH reported that 173 more people died due to COVID, taking the death toll in the country to 40,069. The DOH recorded the highest daily number so far on September 11, with 26,303 cases.
The Philippines, with a population of 110 million, has tested more than 20.5 million people after COVID-19 in January 2020.
