Uttarakhand : Dengue confirmed in 19 villagers
Roorkee : Dengue has been confirmed in 19 people suffering from fever in Gadharona village. Dengue fever was found in the patients in the ELISA test at the Civil Hospital. The Health Department has become alert after so many people came positive together. Insecticides are being sprayed along with destroying dengue larvae.
The Health Department had come to know about the fever of many villagers in Gadhaurana village of Landhaura area. After many people were suffering from fever in the same village, the Health Department team had surveyed the village on October 14. In the investigation, many villagers were confirmed to have fever. In the camp set up by the Health Department, samples of 86 villagers suffering from fever were taken. The samples of these villagers were tested for ELISA in the lab of the Civil Hospital. The investigation report was received by the department on Sunday. Health Department Inspector CM Kanswal said that in the ELISA test, dengue has been confirmed in 19 villagers. The ASHA team is going door-to-door to make the villagers aware of dengue. Insecticides are being sprayed. The work of destroying the dengue larvae is also going on continuously. On Monday a team will again go to the village. Where samples of fever victims will be taken. Even before this, dengue cases have been reported in Roorkee and the surrounding area.
