Uttarakhand : Ruckus of Kanwariyas in Haridwar, road jam due to dispute with police over laptop
In the Bahadarabad area of Haridwar, there was a fierce ruckus between the police and the Kanwariyas. The dispute between the Kanwariyas and the police increased so much that police officers had to come to the spot to pacify the matter. Near a mall in Bahadarabad area, postal kanwaris accused police personnel of breaking laptops. The postal kanwariyas created a ruckus regarding this matter.
After a clash with the police in Haridwar on Sunday, Kanwariyas blocked the road during the uproar. Seeing the matter increasing, the SP City reached the spot, opened the dialogue jam with the postal kanwaris and pacified the matter. There is a huge rush of vehicles of Kanwariyas going to Haridwar to collect Dak Kanwar from Roorkee-Laksar road. Dak kanwar has started on the bypass also from today. In such a situation, Shiv devotees were seen running on the bypass with Ganga water and sprinting with bikes. The rally of Dak Kanwar has started increasing in the Kanwar Yatra. The Kanwariyas arriving in batches are chanting the name of Lord Bhole.
Due to excessive crowd and increasing pressure of vehicles, the highway has started jamming. There was also heavy traffic on the Haridwar-Laksar road. On the one hand the traffic jams and on the other hand the noise of bikes and DJs without silencers of Dak Kanwaris has started troubling the local people. Kanwar Yatra is at its peak. From Dak Kanwaris to highways, the pressure of vehicles has increased on other routes.
Only the vehicles of Dak Kanwar are seen everywhere. It was difficult for people to cross at the intersections and intersections of the roads connecting to the highway. The police were left sweating in smoothening the traffic system.
