Uttarakhand : CM Dhami inaugurated the Virasat Art and Heritage Festival, the festival will run for 15 days
With the Diwali festival approaching, fairs are being organized in different places of Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the Virasat Art and Heritage Festival organized at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Stadium, Kaulagarh Road in Dehradun on Sunday. The Chief Minister said that such events provide an effective platform to the traditional handicrafts and folk arts of different states and also encourage their conservation. He said that such events also serve to provide a market for the artisans, weavers and artisans to market their products. The Chief Minister said that this 15-day event would work to connect the common people with the heritage of folk art and folk culture along with music, entertainment and handing over the heritage to the future generations. Welcoming the folk art and hand craftsmen participating in this event, he said that this event would provide them a better opportunity to showcase their art. He expressed confidence that this event would help in recognizing the rich cultural heritage of the state and traditional folk art, folk lore and culinary arts along with products. For our state to be included in the leading states of the country, everyone has to be a participant. The Chief Minister said that ONGC is cooperating on many proposals of the State Government. The state government is being supported by ONGC in health, education and other areas.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many works are being done in our state as well as in the entire country. He said that Prime Minister Modi has described the third decade of the 21st century as the decade of Uttarakhand. When the state will be celebrating the 25th foundation day, then the state will be the leading and ideal state of the country in all fields. He said that tourism will become number one in various sectors like health, education, employment, agriculture. Said that our government is dedicated in the service of the public at all times. The Chief Minister said that the work of Rishikesh-Karnprayag railway line is progressing at a fast pace. The construction work of Delhi Dehradun elevated road is going on. On completion, this distance will be reduced to just two hours. After that more number of pilgrims, tourism will come to the state of Uttarakhand. We are working with public service as our goal and our goal is all round development of Uttarakhand.
He said that as per the expectation of the Prime Minister, we are continuously striving to make Uttarakhand an ideal state in every field by the year 2025. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, work is being done on road, rail and air connectivity at a fast pace. He said that the state government is working with transparency and with no choice resolution. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the mantra of Vocal for Local. Under this, the talents get a chance to come forward. With this, where the markets will get the product, the products will get the market. Such events are also important to promote Vocal for Local. The Chief Minister said that special efforts are being made to promote local products in Uttarakhand. One district to product is being promoted in the state. RK Singh, Manager, Reach Foundation, RK Srivastava, CMD, ONGC, Director Pankaj Kumar and others were present on the occasion.
