Uttarakhand / Dehradun : Banshidhar Tiwari honored with Hewlwani Garhbhoomi Award

Rajendra Singh Negi, Director of Community Radio Hewlwani, Chamba Tehri Garhwal met Ravi Negi, Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari at the Media Center located at the Secretariat. These people presented Hewalwani Garhbhoomi Samman 2022 (Garhbhoomi Samman 2022) to Tiwari. Also honored by wearing a Uttarakhandi cap and shawl. The individuals who did remarkable work in the program organized on the completion of 21 years of Community Radio Hewalvani were awarded the Garhbhoomi Samman 2022. Director General Information could not attend the said program. On this occasion, Director General Information Banshidhar Tiwari said that community radio has an important role in the present times. He said that the state government was providing all possible support to the community radio. He said that community radio has reach even in remote mountainous areas.

Community radio can play an important role in the promotion of public welfare schemes and policies of the state government. He said that Hewlwani Radio has come such a long way with its limited resources. On this occasion, Rajendra Negi, Director of Community Radio Hewalvani said that it is our endeavor that the public welfare schemes of the State and Central Government can be taken to the remote mountain areas. Negi thanked the Director General of Information for the cooperation being given to Community Radio from the Department of Information.
