CM took a meeting on women’s safety and law and order

For the past few years, questions are being raised about the increasing crime related to women in Uttarakhand. On Saturday, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a review meeting regarding women’s safety and law and order. In the meeting, along with the top officers of the police department, the district magistrates and captains of all the districts of the state were also present virtually. In the meeting, the Chief Minister directed the officers to take prompt action on cases like domestic violence, sexual violence and molestation of women. Along with this, the DM and SSP of the districts should also review such crimes monthly. The Chief Minister clearly said that the officers who do good work regarding such crimes will be encouraged. At the same time, strict action will also be taken against those who are negligent.

Chief Minister Dhami said that he would again hold a review meeting after a month with the officials regarding all these issues. The Chief Minister directed that a woman police officer should be posted separately for these cases at the police stations and at the Kotwali level. Along with this, a campaign to make women aware should also be started. The Chief Minister said that the public should work in such a way as to instill confidence in the police.
