Uttarakhand : CM Dhami inaugurated Jauljibi Fair and Development Exhibition-2022 in Pithoragarh

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated the historic Jauljibi Fair and Development Exhibition-2022 organized at Jauljibi, the confluence of Kali and Gori rivers, by cutting the ribbon and lighting the lamp. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that Jauljibi Mela holds great importance in the economic and cultural development of the region. This fair has been promoting mutual trade between India, Nepal and Tibet. This fair works to give oxygen to the relations between India and Nepal. I am happy that this fair has been increasing the culture, civilization as well as trade relations between the country of India and Nepal. Recalling his childhood memories, Chief Minister Dhami said that he has been observing the customs and culture of this place since childhood. He has been very fond of this fair since childhood. Expressing gratitude on the grand reception given by the public, he said that I am your son and brother. Whenever I have come here I have always been warmly welcomed, for this I express my gratitude to all of you and also welcome you guys with folded hands!

Expressing his views regarding the development of the marginal areas, Chief Minister Dhami said that we believe that the marginal areas should be developed properly, we are determined to implement all the schemes in the marginal areas. He said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is very serious about the development of the marginal villages of the country. Now the marginal villages of the country will not be the last villages of the country but will be the first villages of the country, their overall development is included in our priority. He said that we are constructing a double lane motor bridge on Kali river for the development of this marginal area of ​​the district, which will boost trade relations between India and Nepal. We are also constructing and widening the National Highway in the region, due to the construction of the National Highway in this area, the pilgrims going to Kailash Mansarovar will go through this route, which will increase business and develop the area. The Chief Minister said that we will treat the disaster affected Eldhara landslide area of ​​the area on the lines of Varunavat Parvat.

On this occasion, Chief Minister announced Rs. 5 lakh for Jauljibi fair and beautification of Jauljibi Sangam site. The Chief Minister also prayed for the prosperity of the state by offering prayers at the Jaleshwar Mahadev temple located at the Sangam site. Regional MP Ajay Tamta, MLA Didihat Bishan Singh Chufal, MLA Dharchula Harish Dhami, District Magistrate Reena Joshi, SP Lokeshwar Singh, Girish Joshi were present on the occasion.
