CM Dhami’s power was shown, BJP candidates won in 10 of the seats on which he campaigned

Though the BJP fell short of the majority mark in the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections, the BJP won 10 seats out of which Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami campaigned for party candidates. The BJP leadership had entrusted Chief Minister Dhami with the responsibility of star campaigner in the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections. Earlier, the BJP had put Dhami to good use in the Himachal assembly elections as well. In Himachal, Dhami took part in several public meetings as well as mass contact campaign in favor of the party candidate.
Dhami emerges as a new young face of BJP
In fact, under Dhami’s leadership, the BJP registered a landslide victory in the state assembly elections held earlier this year with a two-thirds majority. Not only this, Dhami also broke the myth of change of power in every assembly election since the formation of the state. After this Dhami emerged as a new young face of BJP. Seeing this image of Dhami, the BJP in Delhi gave him the responsibility in the election campaign, especially keeping in mind the hill-dominated seats. Chief Minister Dhami came true in this role. The Chief Minister mainly campaigned in Patpadganj, Mandawali, Chhatarpur, Yamuna Vihar and nearby seats. During the elections, wherever the Chief Minister went for campaigning, huge crowds thronged to listen to him. Chief Minister Dhami’s intimidation has been clearly seen in the results that came on Wednesday. Chief Minister Dhami did roadshows in support of BJP candidates in Patpadganj, Vinod Nagar and Mandawali of Delhi. BJP candidates have won all these three seats. Similarly, BJP candidates won in Burari, Sadatpur, Yamuna Vihar, Vinod Marg, Dwarka-A, Najafgarh, Chhawla, Shahdara.
Uttarakhand unit won 20 seats assigned
The BJP has expressed happiness over the victory of 20 out of 36 seats assigned to its Uttarakhand unit and six out of nine candidates of hilly origin in the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections. BJP State President Mahendra Bhatt said that this victory is the result of the support received from the migrants on the work done by Chief Minister Dhami in the state under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi. In a conversation with the media at the party’s state headquarters, Bhatt while answering the questions asked on the Delhi Municipal Corporation election results said that the candidate whose candidate is more popular and eligible will become the mayor of Delhi, it can also be of BJP. He said that the Uttarakhand unit was given responsibility for a total of 36 seats in the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections, out of which the party has won 20 seats.
