New Delhi / Bhajanpura: After giving triple talaq to his wife, she was thrown out of the house, the father of 6 children married a transgender!
A case of triple talaq has come to light with a woman in Bhajanpura area of New Delhi. In Bhajanpura police station, on the complaint of the woman, the police have registered a case against the accused husband. The accused is absconding from the spot. But the police is raiding in search of him. North Eastern District Deputy Commissioner (DCP) Joy and Tirkey told that the victim woman is a resident of Bhajanpura area. The woman told in her complaint that she was married about 32 years ago and now she has 6 children. In which there are 4 girls and two boys. The woman alleges that her husband has left her and married a transgender. However, it is being told that due to social pressure, he left the transgender as well and married another woman. Since this marriage, her husband was pressurizing her to vacate the house and was also threatening of dire consequences for not vacating the house. It is alleged that on July 7, 2022, her husband asked her to leave the house saying ‘talaq talaq talaq’ three times.
North Eastern District Deputy Commissioner Joy Tirkey says that the victim has been sent to the Crime Against Women Cell for counselling. Based on her complaint, a case has been registered at Bhajanpura police station under Section 4 of the Muslim Women’s Protection of Rights on Marriage Act and further investigation is underway in the matter. Let us tell you that on August 1, 2019, the Parliament approved a bill in which it was proposed to make instant “triple talaq” a crime. According to this bill, “Whoever gives triple talaq to his wife, shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to 3 years, and shall also be liable to fine.” The victim woman told that her husband tortures her and also does not give money for the upbringing of the children. At the same time, the accused husband says in this case that all the allegations leveled by his wife are false.
According to the accused, his wife is doing all this for the property. Wife is pressurizing to get the house in her name. Rejecting the allegation of triple talaq, Aftab said that he never gave triple talaq to his wife and never harassed her husband in any way. The accused says that he wants the police to investigate the whole matter in depth so that he can get justice.
