Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal held a press conference regarding the Ankita Bhandari case, where he presented the government’s stance and also criticized the Congress party. Subodh Uniyal stated that the case is very sensitive and serious, which is why the government formed an SIT (Special Investigation Team) led by a female IPS officer.

Cabinet Minister Subodh Uniyal stated that the High Court also acknowledged that the SIT’s investigation is proceeding in the right direction. This was the reason why the demand for a CBI investigation was rejected. Based on all the evidence, the lower court sentenced all three accused to life imprisonment.

Government Will Not Back Down from the Investigation
Minister Subodh Uniyal further clarified that if any individual, group, or party has any evidence or proof, they should come forward, and the government will not hesitate to investigate it. The government will also provide complete protection to the person who brings forward the evidence.

Statement on the Viral Audio Clip
He further stated that the High Court has also acknowledged that no VIP is being protected. Regarding the recently viral audio clip, the minister said that those who possess this audio should come forward and provide the evidence. The government will definitely investigate it as well.

However, during the press conference, the minister was seen avoiding several questions from journalists. He was particularly unable to give a clear answer to questions about the resort that was demolished during the incident.
