Uttarakhand Weather: The weather will remain unsettled! Rain and snowfall are expected in these districts

The weather in the mountainous regions of Uttarakhand will remain inclement today, Sunday. Light rain and snowfall are expected. The Meteorological Department has also issued a forecast, according to which rain and snowfall are likely in parts of Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Bageshwar, and Pithoragarh districts.

Snowfall is especially likely in areas above 2800 meters. However, the weather will remain dry in the rest of the state. Looking ahead, light rain and snowfall are expected in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand until January 29th.

The Rishikesh-Badrinath National Highway is closed beyond Hanuman Chatti. 66 roads, including six national highways, are closed due to snowfall. In Chamoli, the Gopeshwar-Mandal-Chopta National Highway and the Joshimath-Malari-Niti National Highway are also closed due to snowfall.

In Uttarkashi district, the Rishikesh-Yamunotri National Highway is closed from Raditop to Orchhaband, and the Rishikesh-Gangotri National Highway is closed beyond Gangnani. In Tehri, the Chamba-Dhanaulti-Suwakholi National Highway is closed. Efforts are continuously being made to reopen it.
