The health department is fully prepared for the new variant of COVID-19, said Health Secretary Dr. R.K. Said by Rajesh Kumar during the mockdrill in the medical units of all the districts of the state. In view of Corona, the preparations of ICU ward, emergency, oxygen plant, ventilator, oxygen concentrator, oxygen cylinder, isolation bed, ambulance, Covid testing lab, availability of medicines etc. in health units in Uttarakhand were tested in mockdrill. On the occasion of mockdrill, Health Secretary Dr. R.K. Rajesh Kumar inspected Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Coronation Hospital located in Dehradun. He first took stock of the PSA Oxygen Plant, where he inspected the oxygen pressure, oxygen purity in the plant, as well as inspected the medical gas manifold room, gas store. The Emergency Ward was inspected by the Health Secretary, taking stock of the oxygen concentrator and other equipment, directed the concerned officials to maintain quality during treatment.

We appeal to the general public to follow COVID friendly behavior and take precautions. For any health related problem, go to the nearest health center and get yourself treated. On corona vaccination, the health secretary said that people are being motivated to take booster dose in the state. We have sent an additional demand for the vaccine to the Government of India, which will be forwarded to the districts on receipt.
