Indian Navy Provides Oxygen on Wheels to Palasa Covid Care Center

District Magistrate of Kakulam J. On 25 May 2021, the Indian Navy provided the Oxygen On Wheels plant to the Palasa Covid Care Center on the basis of the request for residence. The Oxygen On Wheels, designed by the Naval Dockyard, was formally inaugurated at Palasa, Covid Care Center by Sidari Appalaraju, Minister of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries, in the presence of Sub Collector Suraj Ganaur and Naval contingent. Oxygen On Wheels has been connected to the oxygen pipeline at the Covid Health Care Center in Palasa by a team of experts from Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam and provides 24 hours of oxygen for up to 12 hospitalized patients. The team has also trained hospital staff in the operation of the plant.

Oxygen on Wheels is a unique initiative launched by the Naval Dockyard in which a PSA Oxygen Plant was integrated from a mobile platform to serve remote hospitals and on 20 May 2021, the Flag Officer Commanding-in- Eastern Naval Command The Chief Vice Adm was formally launched in Visakhapatnam by AB Singh.
