Shri Mahant Ravindrapuri Maharaj, President of Mansa Devi Temple Trust and Secretary of Panchayati Akhara Shri Niranjani said that Harela is a festival of nature. He said that plantation of saplings has special significance in Sanatan Dharma. Shri Mahant Ravindrapuri along with Secretary, HRDA Dr. Lalit Narayan Mishra planted medicinal plants in Bilkeshwar Mahadev temple complex and surrounding forest on Friday on the occasion of Harela festival. Shri Mahant Ravindrapuri, while wishing the festival of Harela, said that nature gives us food, water, sunlight and shade, so it is the duty of everyone to protect the environment by planting trees.

Appreciating the plantation plan of HRDA, Shri Mahant Ravindrapuri said that the Secretary of the Authority, Dr. Lalit Narayan Mishra is doing excellent work in the direction of environmental protection. Dr. Lalit Narayan Mishra expressed his gratitude to Shri Mahant Ravindrapuri. He said that Shri Mahant Ravindrapuri Maharaj has proved to be an angel for the people of Haridwar and Uttarakhand during the Corona crisis. On the occasion of Harela Mahotsav, 40 vines and 5 big saplings were planted by Haridwar Roorkee Development Authority through tree plantation program. Along with this, tea guards were also installed to protect the plants, so that the safety of the plants remains. During this, Digambar Balbir Puri, Digambar Puneet Puri, Digambar Sudhir Puri, Horticulture Officer AR Joshi, HRDA Tehsildar Manjit Singh were present.
