The doors of Badrinath Dham opened, the first worship was done in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Chief Minister gave best wishes to the devotees

Amidst snowfall and bitter cold, the portals of Bhu-Baikunth Badrinath Dham have opened for the devotees. The portals of Badrinath Dham have been opened today at 7.10 am on Thursday morning with Vedic chanting. On this auspicious occasion of the opening of the doors, hundreds of devotees reached the Dham to have darshan of Akhand Jyoti and movement has also started at the yatra halts.

During the opening of the doors, flowers were showered from the helicopter, while the passengers also danced to the melodious tunes of the army in the premises. The darshan of the pilgrims has started from the Lion Gate of Badrinath. About 20 thousand pilgrims reached the Dham during the opening of the doors. Madhav Prasad Nautiyal was also present in the Dham as the representative of Tehri Raja for the inauguration of the doors.

At the same time, there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm and gaiety among the pilgrims regarding Badrinath Yatra. Pilgrims have started gathering at various places at the Yatra halts. Around 400 vehicles of pilgrims and local devotees have reached Badrinath. Along with Badrinath, the ancient monasteries and temples located in the Dham are also decorated with marigold flowers.

Movement of villagers started in Mana

This time the icebergs have melted in Kanchan Ganga and Radang band on Badrinath Highway. Here on the banks of Alaknanda, there is snow in some places only. There is still snow on the internal roads of Badrinath Dham, which is being cleared by the environment friends of Nagar Panchayat Badrinath. Shops have also started opening in the Lambagad market which was washed away in the disaster of 2013. In the first village of the country, Mana, the villagers have started moving. Most of the devotees who reached Badrinath Dham on Wednesday reached Mana village. Sanitation work has also been completed from the army helipad to the temple premises in Badrinath.
