Tribute to the brave soldiers on Kargil Vijay Diwas given in Parliament

On the 22nd anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas on Monday, both houses of Parliament remembered and paid tribute to the sacrifices of the soldiers. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla remembered the brave soldiers on Kargil Vijay Diwas when the proceedings of the House began this morning. Birla said that we also express our gratitude to the families of the martyrs. After this the members stood in their places and observed silence for a few moments in respect to the martyrs.
On the other hand, on the commencement of the Rajya Sabha meeting, Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu, referring to Kargil Vijay Diwas, said that on this day in 1999, our brave soldiers had captured the Kargil hills by defeating the enemy forces who had taken possession of them. encroached upon our land. The Chairman said that the bravery of our brave soldiers had brought a historic victory to the country. The nation will never forget the courage, valor, perseverance and selfless dedication displayed by our jawans in the unfavorable geographical conditions and inclement weather, Naidu said. His valor will always inspire the generations to come. The Chairman said that he pays homage on behalf of himself and the entire House to the brave soldiers who laid down their lives to protect the motherland. The members also observed silence for a few moments in honor of the martyred soldiers.
